(1S)-(+)-trans-1,2-Diaminocyclohexane (also named  (1S)-(+)-trans-1,2-  Cyclohexanediamine;  (1S,2S)-1,2-cyclohexanediamine; (1S,2S)-1,2-Diaminocyclohexane), together with its (1R, 2R) enantiomer, allows excellent levels of asymmetric induction in many reactions, produced by resolution of trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane.

 It is an off-white powder or pale-yellow oil, depending on the temperature, which could be dissolved in most of polar organic solvent.
